Turkey are on 2nd place in the group, tied on points with Romania and with Hungary two points behind. Romania and Hungary are playing against Estonia and Andorra respectively, so Turkey will have to win to secure the playoff spot and at the same time hope that Romania does not beat Estonia by too much. Holland are the clear group winner with 8-1-0 and 25 points, but they still have something to play for as they need a win in order to advance on the FIFA rankings prior to the World Cup draw.

Turkey have three straight wins so they are in good form, although at home they have only beaten Andorra and Estonia, and lost to Romania and tied against Hungary. Holland are in superb form and won last match 8-1 against Hungary. Last time these teams met Holland won 2-0 at home.
