UNITED STATES V COSTA RICA PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS
The final CONVACAF qualifying group has played just 1 game so far but already we’ve seen some surprises and with just 3 automatic places in the World Cup for 6 teams to fight for every result is important.
The United States lost their first match away at Honduras. Despite taking an early lead from Clint Dempsey the hosts fought back to win 2-1 and take an early lead in the group. The USA know they can’t afford to lose many games or they’ll face a very tough task to qualify so will be going allout for a win here.
Costa Rica started very poorly in their first match going 2 goals down to Panama within 25 minutes but they didn’t stop fighting and looked excellent after that. They pulled one goal back before half time and then left it to the 84th minute but eventually found an equaliser to give them a 2-2 away draw which they’ll be happy with.
UNITED STATES V COSTA RICA PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW
The United States are one of the group favourites and will want to get off the bottom of the group as quickly as possible. They know a win here is a necessity and won’t be wanting any slipups or they could end up well behind the teams in the qualifying spots.
I think the USA will be too strong here and will be backing them to win at 1.62 with Stan James.
