Chile in Santiago are a difficult task for any team. Winning both games at home so far this campaign underlines the difficulty for Colombia. Chile opened up with a 4-2 demolition of a Peru side who actually come at them, it took them a small time to adapt but they did and then took the game to them. In the next home tie they easily swept aside a listless Paraguay who never settled at all and were easily dispatched 2-0.  Chile are reknowed for their adaptability of formations and players and this was the case in the home games. 3-4-1-2 for Peru and 3-4-3 against Paraguay. Chile have suffered two heavy defeats, 4-1 to Argentina and 4-0 to Uruguay. Again formations changed with a more defensive 3-5-2 against Argentina and a 3-4-1-2 against Urugauy. In both games they could not deal with the attacks and offered little threat themselves. They did however record two excellent away wins at the end of 2011. Travelling to La Paz they dominated a Bolivian side who are usually really difficult to overcome at their high altitude ground, running out 2-0 victors. They recorded the same score in Venezuela, two priceless away victories which many teams will struggle to emulate. Chile are an exciting, attacking team who have great versatility. Able to comfortably change formation and game plan at any time during a match. With key men such as Matias Fernandez and Gary Medel in the middle and Humberto Suazo and Alexis Sanchez up front Chile have plenty of options. Colombia destoyed Uruguay in Bogata last time out, running out 4-0 after a dominant display. They gave a supreme performance and will go into this match full of confidence. They've had mixed results so far this campaign. They opened up with an impressive 2-1 away win in La Paz. Any points gained in the Bolivian capital are well deserved. Going with a 4-1-4-1 formation The Cafeteros came under pressure for most of the match, they  never deserved to take all three points as the match was evenly balanced. Next up was Venezuela at home, in this game Venezuela totally controlled the match. Colombia scored early on but were outplayed by the away side. A 1-1 draw was a good result for the Colombians! Lining up with a 4-4-2 with Guttierez uptop with Martinez, Argentina were the vistors for game three and Colombia gave a much improved performance despite missing Falcao and Guarin. The hosts were the better side for the 1st hour and went a goal up. Lionel Messi inspired a comeback that ended with a last minute winner. Colombia faced Peru in Lima in a tough game but could finally call on a full squad, going 4-4-2 with Falcao back. This was a very even, tight game and in the end a Peruvian defensive mistake was the difference. A 1-0 away win was acheived. In the last round away to Ecuador in the altitude of Quito, They played another solid 4-4-2 and a tight match. Ecuador had the better play and scored a last minute goal to run out 1-0 winners.

Betting Prediction - A really difficult game with both sides playing well and full of confidence. Away performances and results are rare things in Conmebol qualifying and Colombia may alter their tactics and aim for a point. Chile are in a good position in the table after a good start to the tournament. In Santiago they are an extremely difficult opponent roared on by a fervent Chilean support. Chile to win at 1.97 is the bet.
