Croatia had a difficult group in the European Championships and will be content with their results from the games.  They easily beat an Ireland side who finished bottom of the group 3-1 then got an excellent draw with eventual finalists Italy.  Only a 1-0 loss to winners Spain meant they didn’t make it through to the quarter finals.

Macedonia has struggled to score goals this year with just 2 goals in their 4 friendly games so far.  They did manage a 1-0 win against Lithuania last month which will give them some confidence and they have not conceded in their past 3 matches, including a tough Portugal side.
