Genoa has three points after three games, pretty much on par with expectations. They have lost away (narrowly) to Palermo and Fiorentina while beating Hellas Verona 2-0 at home. Here they have regular central midfielder Tino Costa injured. Serge Gakpe (attacker) and Leonardo Pavoletti (attacker as well) have gotten game time this season but are also out. Regular goalie Mattia Perin and full back Alassane Tambe are yet to start a game this season due to injury
Juventus started the campaign with back to back losses. Last match day they managed to get a point at home versus Chievo. In midweek they looked better though as they beat Manchester City 2-1 at the Ethiad. This can of course be the corner Juventus needed to turn. Losing Vidal, Tevez and Pirlo in one transfer window may have been too much to cope with though in my opinion. Here box-to-box midfielder Claudio Marchisio is out again. Central defender Martin Caceres is also out. Patrice Evra returns to his full back position.
The bet here is Genoa +0.75 at odds of 1.79 with Sportmarket. Looking at the other teams having played European midweek football it is safe to say it hasn’t been all that easy returning to domestic action. Genoa is a capable team at home, and Juventus still has a lot to prove.
