Back to winning ways in a midweek cup win, they need a win here as they have only won two of their last Serie A games, and the gap to the third and fourth teams is diminishing. Castan(def), De Rossi(mid) and Ljajic(str) are important suspensions for Roma, with Balzaretti(def) still out injured. Genoa miss top scorer Gilardino(str) suspended, and Gamberini(def) and Kucka(mid) injured.
