ROMA V LAZIO : PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS
The Rome derby arrives early and both sides are in good form. Roma have an unblemished record with three wins and conceded their first goal of the season at Parma last week, before roaring back to win 3-1. They have impressed me greatly so far though this will be their toughest test, and will tell us plenty about their credentials for the rest of the season. Roma will want to avenge last years cup final defeat to their big rivals, and improve a head to head record which has seen them lose four of the last five meetings. The midfield has been very impressive so far with plenty of goals coming with Pjanic, Strootman, Florenzi and De Rossi all chipping in. Bradley and Balzaretti are missing with injury for the big game.
Two heavy defeats to Juventus aside in Super cup and league, Lazio have won their two home matches . The latest a 3-0 win over Chievo, all the goals coming in the first half in a clinical display. A midweek 1-0 Europa win over Legia Warsaw brings them into the big game confident. Star front man Miroslav Klose remained on the bench in midweek to keep him fresh for Sunday. Injury wise defenders Radu, Biava, Novaretti and midfielder Biglia are all out.
