ROMA V VERONA : PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS
Roma began the campaign with a 2-0 away win at new boys Livorno where they bossed the game and will hope to follow up with a home win against another promoted side in Verona. Continuing the form that saw a strong finish to last season. The sale of Lamela to Tottenham was a blow to add to the departures of Marquinhos and Pablo Osvaldo before him , but Strootman signed from PSV should be ready to debut here. Along with Ljajic snapped up from Fiorentina this week. Striker Destro will miss through injury.
Verona made a dream return to Serie A humbling Milan 2-1. After going behind early, a Luca Toni brace ensured victory and they were good value for the win. Last year they only lost three games on the road albeit in Serie B, and they will be hopeful of holding their own on the return to the topflight for the first time since 2001/02 season and good away form would be a great help. Veteran defender Agostini and striker Razatsu signed in the summer miss out for Verona.
Head to heads between the sides favour Roma massively, unbeaten in the last seven meetings winning five of them, however the most recent match being in 2002.
