VERONA V ROMA : PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS 1x2

Verona (10-2-8) have suffered back to back defeats since the short break, and have also seen influential midfielder Jorginho sold to Napoli. It’s certainly not all gloom for the promoted side though, who have an impressive (8-0-2) home record, and still sit in sixth spot in Serie A. Roma (14-5-1) have responded to their first defeat of the season at Juventus in tremendous style, winning their next four games without conceding a goal. The latest win was a cup defeat over Juventus in midweek, and they will arrive here high on confidence. They are looking increasingly solid in second place, and ready to pounce if Juventus should slip up at the top. Pjanic was particularly impressive in the midweek cup win when coming off the bench, and will hope to have done enough to cement a starting place in this. Balzaretti (def) is out long term for Roma, and Verona will miss regular defenders Agostini and Moras, though Luca Toni should return to face his old club.
