Brann v Aalesund predictions

Brann is 5-0-0 at home in the Tippeliga, while Aalesund is 2-0-2 away. Since and including 2011 this fixture has been played three times in all competitions. 1-1-1 is the score. Brann comes into this game after a 2-0 away loss to Stromsgodset while Aalesund demolished Lillestrom at home 7-1. We will just have to wait and see if this means Aalesund is back to their best as they were early on in the season, or if that win simply was a lucky, one time thing.

Brann still has a couple of defensive injuries to cope with. Both Jonsson and Wangberg will sit this one out. Aalesund should field their best eleven. I don't think this will affect the outcome of this game much!

Brann is a super solid home side as you can see from their stats. Actually, four of their five wins at home have been with two goals or more. Aalesund has been a typical home side for quite some time, and their away performances so far this year doesn't impress me one bit. Sure, they were good against Lillestrom, but that was a side missing several key players. I am not willing to take my hat off for this Aalesund side just yet. That it is going to be extra atmosphere in Bergen due to the 17th of May celebrations tomorrow only makes me more keen on the home win.
