Fredrikstad has 4 points up to the qualification spot in the Tippeliga currently held by Sogndal. Aalesund is currently placed 12th out of the 16 teams in this league. The home side has only managed 3 wins and 1 draw in a total of 9 home games. They did however win their last home game 2-0 against Tromsø. Aalesund hasn't exactly been a revelation away with stats of: 0-4-5. Aalesund won the reverse fixture 3-0 in July. This clearly weakens an already struggeling team. I just really can't see where the goals should come from versus a compact and solid team coached by former Norwegian midfield anchor Kjetil Rekdal. On the other hand, Aalesund doesn't really like to lead away games as their stats clearly show. However, with 3 points here are up for grabs against a team that looks like it has rolled over to die. This would place Aalesund in a good position in terms of avoiding landing on the dreaded qualification spot. At the point of writing they are only 4 points above that. I do think Aalesund is the better team, and if they can stick to Rekdal's game plan they should land the win. Stan James have been kind enough to offer us odds of 2.75.

Totals

Given that the home side sold Tarik Elyounoussi the chance of an under 2.5 game has increased. Aalesund is defensively strong, and usually doesn't venture forward with much drama and fanfare. Their stats paint that picture very well. Publcally listed, and very secure bookmaker Betsson offer 2.00 for this under bet. This might be worth considering.
