Rosenborg v Sarpsborg 08 predictions

Rosenborg is third in the Tippeliga and goes into this tie having won their last two. Sarpsborg was unbeaten away from home this season, and generally in fine form until Tromso demolished them 5-0 last time around at Alfheim. Rosenborg coach Per Joar Hansen rotated players for a handful of positions last time around when they won deservedly 2-1 away to Honefoss, so RBK should have no injury worries going into this tie. Sarpsborg 08 will still miss French fullback Berthod, and it looks like striker Hoaas is out too. Of the two I'd say Berthod will be missed the most.

As mentioned in other Tippeliga predictions; 16th of May means full stands. Rosenborg has a history of good atmosphere, and with proper backing from a close to full Lerkendal I think they will be spurred on. For me there is no doubt Rosenborg should be a big favorite here looking at the quality they possess in their squad. Sure, they are far off their best compared to a decade ago, but given a 2013 setting things are improving.

Now that Sarpsborg found the end to their great run away from home I think they'll be in big trouble here. Tromso really outplayed them, and Rosenborg recently beat Tromso 2-1. Rosenborg has plenty of attacking options, and should be able to bang in a few goals behind Sarpsborg 08 keeper Kerr (who returns to action here).

For me Rosenborg -1.5 at 1.85 (17/20) with BET365 looks ripe for the taking.
