Sarpbsborg sits 12th in the Norwegian Tippeliga! Sarpsborg often lays deep and try to create something on counters. They do lack quality in the final third, but they’ve proven immensely tough to beat, something only one loss in the last eight (all competitions) indicate strongly. At home they are 4-3-0 so far this season, and they’ve only let in five goals. One can’t underestimate that. Isolating this; Sarpsborg has won about 57.14% of their home games. That again indicates odds of 1.75 against random Tippeliga opposition.

Aalesund is currently 13^th and they haven’t impressed too much away from home. Only 2/7 away matches has been won. This indicates odds of 3.50 against random Tippeliga opposition. Furthermore Aafk has only scored six away goals.

That said; Aafk has improved form wise. They had two Tippeliga wins on the trot against bottom club Sandnes Ulf and Stabæk before they lost narrowly to Molde in a tough derby game last match day. Here they also get Michael Barrantes back after World Cup duty with Costa Rica. They’ve also signed Mostafa Abdellaoue (Striker who has previously been top scorer in Tippeligaen) and Karnass (Attacking midfield player capped by Morocco) it is uncertain both players will play from start, but I am 100% sure these are top quality additions. Regular defender Nation could be available here too after being out a month. Aaroy (veteran forward) and Carlsen (midfielder) are still out.

The 0-0 game played in May was a game of two halves. Sarpsborg was the better side the first 45 minutes, but in the second half AaFk took over. The visitors had the better chances and probably deserved to win on the night.
