VIKING v STROMSGODSET PREDICTIONS - STATS
Stromsgodset are leading the Norwegian Tippeliga after 22 games. Molde and Rosenborg are within one point reach. Godset is 4-3-4 in their away games so far. An average of 3.27 goals have been scored when Stromsgodset has played away. They have not won away in their last six games. Viking is comfortable in sixth position with 32 points in 22 games. Viking has gone three games without a win (two of the games against top opposition though). At home Viking is 6-0-4 in ten games. In these games an average of 2.5 goals have been generated. In general they have been in much better form since July compared to the early parts of the season. The last five games between the two teams reads three wins for Godset, one draw and one win for Viking.
TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY
Stromsgodset will be without the suspended youngster Stefan Johansen who has bagged three goals in twenty apperances. Their talisman Captain Alexander Aas is still out injured. No particular news from the Viking camp as of yet. This should be an entertaining game. Godset is obviously highly motivated and can not allow themselves to slip. They are also a team that is highly capable in the last third of the pitch. Unfortunately for them, they are like night and day home and away. This will by no means be an easy game. Viking has picked up form wise overall and will be able to control big parts of the game, allthough I believe they mainly will be trying to stay compact and deny the pride of Drammen any space. They slipped last time around against Honefoss, in a game they were in charge off, they will be looking to bounce back from that. In order to do that they got to be on top of their defensive duties against a relatively goal hungry visiting team.
Stromsgodset has a very young squad, and they will definitely miss Captain Aas. They have got experience in Kovacs (Almost a 0.5 games/goals conversion rate this Tippeliga season), Storflor and Strand. That will be needed when fighting for the title. Their coach Deila is also considered a very good one, which helps of course. I am however unsure they are going to win it this year, as they are up against much more experienced Rosenborg and Molde. (Tromso are also still in it, looking to win it after they massive win here the other day).
1X2 BET VIKING vs STROMSGODSET PREDICTIONS
Stromsgodset will attack, and if Kovacs is on fire they surely can create havoc in the Viking defence. Viking hasn't drawn at home yet this season, but that is more down to randomness than anything else. However, with a motivation setting like this one, and a slight dominance in the last similar fixtures I will give Stromsgodset the nod.
