Valerenga v Rosenborg predictions

Valerenga is 3-0-2 at home, but I think they've been relatively lucky to boast three wins. Valerenga lacked determination, focus and spine last match day when they allowed Sarpsborg 08 come back three times to get a 3-3 draw. To me this Valerenga edition doesn't look anything special. I am sure they'll get some good results at home on the National stadium (Ullevål) but overall this is mid table material.

Rosenborg looks as expected this season. The Trondheim based side is building a squad that will compete even in Europe, and already we see good tendencies. There is nothing wrong with Rosenborg's form, and away from home they're 3-1-1 so far this season. One can perhaps say that their performance against Molde last match day was sub par as they played against ten men for 70 minutes and only got 0-0. I do not see any reason to reassess my view on Rosenborg because of one game, especially as they played a very defensive home side.

Muri (defender with one goal in eleven) is a doubt for Valerenga, but other than that both sides should field their best side.

Last season this ended 0-0. I do see some draw danger here, but Rosenborg at 1/1 (2.00) is too tempting. I think Rosenborg is a better team, and Valerenga has gotten a few too many points at home compared to their on-pitch performances. That's enough for me to go with the away win here.
