Viking FK is continuing their progress from last season so far. They are currently fourth in the Tippeliga and is 3-1-0 at home so far. Honefoss should again be struggling at the bottom half of the table, so far they're 1-2-2 away, a slight improvement to last years 3-4-8 I would say. The main difference is they are actually trying to score away this season. So far they've gotten nine goals in five versus thirteen in fifteen last season. They do let in a few too many though, but well done so far!

Last season Viking won this fixture 2-1. The winner came in stoppage time. The reverse fixture ended 2-2. Veton Berisha (Striker with 2 goals in 5 starts) is still out for Viking. Midfielder Makhtar Thioune sits out as well. There is no news from Honefoss team news wise.

Viking will have home advantage, which on the 16th of May is magnified due to independence day celebrations (17th of May) in Norway.
