Although not usually an indicator of the season its one both will want to win to get a slight psychological advantage to take into the season. Arsenal have played 4 games in preparation, With 4 wins over Everton, Singapore Select, Wolfsburg and Lyon. Scoring 14 goals and conceding 1 in that time. Arsenal have no injury concerns but will give ex-Chelsea keeper Petr Cech an official debut. Chelsea have played 5 games and don’t have as good a record but they have played a better class of opponent. They have beaten Thailand All Stars and Sydney, but have draws with PSG and Barcelona. While they were surprisingly beaten by NY Red Bulls. Chelsea have concerns of Diego Costa too and may leave him out with the league only a week away.
I think this could go either way and cant commit to either side. One feature of both teams in recent games is a glut of goals. Arsenal with 15 in 4 and Chelsea with 14 in 5.
