GALATASARAY - PORTO : PREDICTIONS

Emirates Cup 2013 at Arsenal’s stadium, it’s the 1^st semi final and two sides who did well last year. Its Galatasaray v Porto, with both sides keen to grab the win.

Galatasaray won last year’s  Turkish league in style and also progressed to the quarter finals of the Champions League. Undone by Real Madrid over two legs but at least representing Turkish football with pride. The side is pretty much the same as last year and with the cream of Turkish football and Didier Drigba, Felipe Melo and Wesley Sniejder they should have a decent chance of retaining the league this year. Galatasaray are odds on favourites for the Turkish league once again, and are very likely to do so.

Porto have been one of the most successful sides in Portugal over the last few years, made all the more remarkable as they constantly ship their best players out. With a template of buying promising players, developing them and selling for huge profit Porto are reaping benefits and cashing in while still being successful. With 27 league titles and 6 of the last 7 Porto are really pushing on. Benfica did push them all the way last year but were ultimately not good enough. Coach Vitor Pereira has moved on so Paulo Fonseca takes the helm.

GALATASARAY - PORTO: BETTING TIPS

I take the outsiders in this game to sneak a win. I think the odds are a little on the short side with Porto priced around 2.10 to take the match. Galatasaray  will no doubt be cheered on by a lot of the Turkish community based in London and this game could be like a home match for them. Two packed quality squads but for me the value is in Galatasary at 3.30 (bet365)
