NAPOLI - PORTO: PREDICTIONS                       

Third place playoff time of Emirates Cup and its Napoli against Porto.

Napoli look good this season to at least match last season’s runners up spot.  There are a few questions over Rafa Benitez, especially in Italy; his time at Inter an unmitigated disaster. He comes into the job with a fantastic squad, super fans and a decent chairman. Napoli lose talisman Edinson Cavani but already his transfer fee has been well invested. In comes Gonzalo Higuain, Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina; Spanish defender Raul Albiol; Spanish forward Jose Maria; Brazilian goalkeeper Rafael; Forward Emanuele Calaio; Croatian midfielder Josip Radosevic; Belgian midfielder Dries Mertens and Colombian midfielder Pablo Armero. Napoli for me will finish 2^nd at the very least and could have a sneak at the title. Napoli were the better side over hosts Arsenal for well over an hour yesterday and can feel a little hard done by to not win that game.

 Porto have been one of the most successful sides in Portugal over the last few years, made all the more remarkable as they constantly ship their best players out. With a template of buying promising players, developing them and selling for huge profit Porto are reaping benefits and cashing in while still being successful. With 27 league titles and 6 of the last 7 Porto are really pushing on. Benfica did push them all the way last year but were ultimately not good enough. Coach Vitor Pereira has moved on so Paulo Fonseca takes the helm. Porto too were the better side in their semi-final and lost out to a late penalty, while also fluffing one of their own badly.
