Paderborn of Germany host England Premiership side Aston Villa in another decent game in  club friendlies.

Paderborn are one of the lower ranked side in Germany Bundesliga 2 and are expected to be struggling in the relegation places. The side is usually found in the lower leagues and has bounced up and down between Bundesliga 2 and the 3^rd division, with a few stints in the Regional leagues too.  With no major honours they are currently at their highest rank in their history. In three friendlies so far there are mixed results, an opening 7-1 hammering by Salzburg (Austria 1 )was followed up with wins over Grodig (Austria 1) and APOEL (Cyprus)

Aston Villa are one of the founder members of England Football League and have been in existence since 1874. With 7 England Championships and also a European Cup they are considered one of the mainstays of English Football. They have had little success since the early 80’s though with just 2 league cups to show for it in a barren period. They have an excellent youth academy and the side is now led by a young, innovative coach in Paul Lambert. The side is made up almost exclusively of youth team products, with just a handful of players brought in. Villa are battling to keep Belgian striker Christian Benteke, he single handedly kept them in the league last year with 19 goals but unfortunately wants to move. Villa have just one friendly under their belts, a 1-1 draw with lowly Rodinghausen (German Oberliga Westfalen)
