MARITIMO V PACOS DE FERREIRA: PREDICTIONS  

Maritimo of Funchal are traditionally a strong home side and weaker on the road. This run shows no sign of faltering as they are yet to lose on the island; with just 1 win and 2 losses away from home. Maritimo are struggling defensively and are yet to keep a clean sheet, conceding in every match so far. Maritimo look to have unearthed a gem as Brazilian Derley looks very good indeed. With 4 in his first 5 the islanders may have trouble keeping him.

P.Ferreira have had a truly dreadful start to the season, losing four and drawing one of the five they have contested. They had lost all four opening Primeira Liga fixtures, going down at home to Braga and Porto; While losing away to Olhanense and Benfica. Last match saw the 1^st point gained in a 1-1 with Setubal. A horrible opening fixture list in truth with 3 of the best teams in Portugal faced. In Europe its much of the same, a Champions League place was lost when they were defeated in both legs, losing 8-3 on aggregate at Zenit.
