Russia Premier League continues with a great match up to begin week 2.

Dynamo Moskva are one of the mainstays of top flight football in Russia, but one without much success.  No league success since the mid 70’s and with little chance of regaining any championships soon as many sides above them are splashing the cash. Dynamo have a decent side though and with quotes around 33-1 to win the title they are to be respected.

Anzhi Makhachkala are the monied side of the top flight with serious cash pumped in. With the side based in Moscow these fixtures are not true “away” ties also. That being said Anzhi are a potent side in Dagestan and are still a long time unbeaten. On the road they tend to be a bit more beatable.

Both teams opened up with fragile 2-2 home draws, Dynamo were not impressive at all and looked very shakey. Anzhi at least were given a tough assignment against Lokomotiv and were undone by a 93^rd minute equaliser. Big news for Anzhi was key striker Lacina Traore injured and will miss several games.
