Lokomotiv Moskva are flying high in Russia Premier League with 7 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats.  One of the smaller sides from Moscow although they do have 2 recent title successes. This season they have been top notch. Indeed the only points lost so far have been defeats to Zenit and CSKA and an away draw at Anzhi before they lost all their players. Other than that they have won every other match. The squad is packed with attacking flair and international quality.

Tom Tomsk have recovered from their disastrous opening period of losing the opening 7 matches. Since then however the side from Tomsk have won 2 and drew 1 to move away from the bottom positions. Vanquished were Volga and most impressively Rubin Kazan in Tartarstan.  With a home draw with Anzhi things are looking more positive indeed.

This game looks very likely to be a home win, Tomsk have improved but they are coming up against a rampant Lokomotiv side. I felt Rubin Kazan didn’t expect such a difficult game and they rotated a little and were not fired up enough and ended up under pressure.
