Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid predictions & betting tips

Real Madrid is 5-1-0 in the Primera Division so far. Five out of those six went over 2.5 and three of them over 3.5. For Real Madrid Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Xabi Alonso are still missing. Isco and Christiano Ronaldo has arguably been the team’s best performers so far. Ancelotti will need these two attacking players in top shape for this spectacular La Liga matchup.

Atletico Madrid is a perfect 6-0-0 in the Primera Division so far. Five out of those six went over 2.5. Three of them went over 3.5. For Atletico Madrid Attacking midfielder Adrian is still set to miss out. Having sold Falcao, many thought Atletico would struggle this season. Not so! Diego Costa and David Villa have been phenomenal up front. The experienced central midfielder Tiago, and young attacking midfielder Koke (5 assists so far) has also been on fire. Arda Turan (Attacking midfielder) has also been really good. What I like about this team is that they also brought in so many good players to add depth to their squad after Falcao left. They can push Real and Barcelona all the way this season!

Atletico Madrid beat Real 2-1 in extra time at the Bernabeu in the Copa del Rey as late as in May 2013. Before that Real Madrid had won ten competitive matches in a row against Atletico! I think this Atletico Madrid edition is pure excellence and the depth in their squad is A+. It will be interesting to see if they will have more possession than last year’s Primera game where they didn’t even have 40%. I fully expect Real to take the game to the visitors, but I think this Atletico edition can do a lot of damage to Real Madrid.

I am no way taking Real Madrid at the priced currently available in the market. Atletico is simply too good at the minute. I much rather go for Atletico +1 at 1.73 (8/11) with Bet365. It is a fantastic bet in my opinion. I think this is a very close game for starters! Here we win on the draw and get our money back if Real wins by one. Amazing price!

I really think Atletico is on par with Real Madrid this season, so for me this is a pretty automatic bet.
