Terek Grozny finished twelfth last season with 33 points, which was an excellent effort when you consider they were rock bottom going into the winter break. New coach Rakhimov did the trick for them, and they won all six home games with him in charge, which pulled them to safety. Amkar Perm finished tenth last term amassing 38 points, but they ended the season badly with no wins in their last ten games. Now they have a new coach Muslin for the new season, but striker Kanunnikov has left, and in four friendly games they have failed to score. With goalscoring looking a real concern and no money to spend, expect a season of struggle for Amkar and their new coch.
