CELTIC – MOTHERWELL: PREDICTIONS

Celtic gave their 1^st real domestic performance of note as they beat Kilmarnock 5-2 to take their season tally to 6 wins and 1 draw and no losses. With a goal difference of +10 they are just off the top spot by 1 goal but do have a game in hand. Midweek European matches are on a break so they can concentrate fully here. A close game with Barcelona again at Celtic Park should be banished from memory and three points here are of maximum importance. Joe Ledley remains out with  Derk Boerrigter missing too. George Samaras and Nir Biton are both struggling with a virus and are doubts.

Motherwell are on a good run of their own with five wins from their last 6 games. Motherwell sit 3^rd just 3 points behind Celtic with 5 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. Key man James McFadden is a big doubt while Motherwell also face a few late fitness tests as they too are struggling with a few injuries to Euan Murray and Fraser Kerr.

Celtic will be greatful for a breather from Champions League action as they again battled well but lost without overly threatening. Milan and Barcelona are a long way from the likes of Motherwell so the drop in class should be welcomed.
