Dundee United sit 7^th in the SPL with 29 points from 23 matches.  They are 1 point behind the top 6 and have that to aim for over the remainder of the season.  They have won just once in 5 games, losing 2 and drawing 2.  They need to improve their home form specifically where they haven’t won in 5 games if they want to crack the top 6.

Ross County are 11^th in the table with 24 points from 21 games.  They are well clear of relegation with an 11 point lead over Dundee and a game in hand.  They will have their sights set on the teams ahead of them with St Mirren and Hearts both within 2 points having played more games.  The midtable in the SPL is very tight and it’s not impossible for Ross County themselves to finish top 6.
