INVERNESS – ST. MIRREN: PREDICTIONS                   

Two of the smaller sides in the league go head to head at Caledonian Stadium, its Inverness v St Mirren.

Inverness would be very happy to match last season’s amazing 4^th place finish but I feel it’s going to be tough this campaign. Coach Terry Butcher has kept hold of most of the squad and had brought in a huge amount of players. In come Norwegian forward Torbjorn; English defender Carl; English goalkeepers Nick Draper and Dean Brill; Irish midfielder Adam; North Ireland forward Curtis Allen; English forward Danny Williams and English midfielder Marley Watkins. No standout players there really but at least improved numbers. Key for ICT will be striker Billy McKay, netting 27 last year was outstanding and he will be hoping to at least match it this season.

St Mirren will be fighting to avoid relegation again and may struggle this year. Three of their better players in loanees Conor Newton, Paul Dummett and Esmael Goncalves could not be retained. Manager Danny Lennon has secured two decent signings though in Gary Harkins and Dan Grainger.

Inverness have gone for quantity in his new additions and he may have a few decent players in the massive horde he has brought from the English leagues.
