DUNDEE UNITED V CELTIC PREDICTIONS
The Scottish Cup semi-finals this weekend will decide who gets a place in the showpiece end of season cup final at Hampden. Celtic are looking for the double, while Dundee United want to put a poor league campaign behind them with the glory of a cup final to end the season.
Celtic are top of the SPL with 69 points from 33 matches and can win the title in their next league match at home to Inverness. They have not had the best of seasons domestically, dropping plenty of points but an easy run to the title and the Champions League last 16 will make it a success for Celtic and winning the Scottish cup would just add to that.
Dundee United narrowly snuck into the top 6 split in the final game. They were in 8th behind Kilmarnock and Aberdeen but a 1-0 win over the Dons following Kilmarnock losing to Dundee saw United take the final spot. The club would really have been looking at potentially finishing 2nd this year but things didn’t work out and a change of manager to Jackie McNamara shows the change in direction mid season.
DUNDEE UNITED – CELTIC BETTING TIPS
Celtic are strong favourites here and at Hampden park with plenty of fans cheering them on it’s tough to see them losing. They did however lose at the same stage of the League Cup so it is not impossible but the team will know they can’t afford to slip up again here.
