Athletic Bilbao will look to consolidate 4^th with a win here against lowly Almeria. Bilbao have 10 wins, 3 draws and 5 defeats in one of their best campaigns for years. At home they are very strong with 7 wins and 2 draws. The best record outside the top three teams. Recent form reads 5 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats but two of the losses where in Copa del Rey. Big loss for the home side with Carlos Gurpegi out. Almeria are in improved form of late and have sprung up out of the relegation places. They sit in 14^th with 5 wins, 4 draws and 9 defeats. Away form is ok with 3 wins, 1 draw and 5 losses. The recent good form has seen them unbeaten in six matches with 3 wins and 3 draws. It has to be said that the opposition was all bottom half teams but anyway. Out for Almeria are two key defenders in Nelson Marcos and Hernan Pellorano. Big doubt over key attacker Rodrigo Rozano too.

I expect the home side to win but Im looking at a 1-0 or 2-0 maximum. I don’t see goals at all here and don’t think Almeria can trouble the home side. Athletic Bilbao win to nil looks a solid bet and we get the 3-0 or bigger here which are longshots but viable.
