ATLETICO MADRID v REAL MADRID: RED CARD BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS

Atletico are looking a little stretched of late and the very high bar they set early on is starting to stifle them. They are still flying high in the league though and are 3^rd in table after 19 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats. Home form is almost perfect with 11 wins and 2 draws with no defeats. Recent form has dipped though with four defeats in the last six games including home and away losses to todays rivals Real Madrid. Out for Atletico will be Thiago Mendes and Javier Gaitan. Real Madrid have moved up several gears over the last month or so and are looking very, very dangerous. Ancelotti has given them a solid look but has not sacrificed the attacking threat. Its no surprise the return of Xavi Alonso has coincided with their best form. His partnership with Luca Modric is superb and with Bale supporting Ronaldo well and Benzema scoring freely they are one of the best sides in the league right now. Out for Real Madrid is only Khadira.

Might seem a bit strange to tip up a red card but this fixture is usually on a knife-edge. With players like Pepe and Ramos ready to explode at any time is a fair bet. For me though the decider for this one was the serious hammering Real gave Atletico in Copa del Rey. Its sure to have hurt and with a few more defeats for Atletico they are bound to be going into this at 110% - There is history of red cards in this fixture too with 5 in the last 12 games.
