Two losses to Real Madrid could be forgiven (almost) as it was Copa Del Rey but a 2-0 defeat to lowly Almeria was a huge shock. They are still joint top with Barce and Real with 18 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats. Home form is superb with 10 wins and 2 draws to remain the only side unbeaten alongside Bilbao. Atletico will be without David Villa and Luis Felipe. Valladolid are fighting for their lives in the relegation zone. They have 4 wins, 9 draws and 10 losses. Away form is amongst the worst in the division with 1 win and 4 draws to go with 7 losses. Missing for Valladolid are two key men in Oscar and Jesus Rueda.
I fancy Atletico Madrid to take this but I don’t think they will run up a big score. They have a huge last 16 knockout tie looming with AC Milan and I think they will just do enough to win here and try and take it easy for Wednesday. Also with form a bit shakey confidence will be low so Valladolid with a massive start are worth a bet.
