BARCELONA V SEVILLA: PREDICTIONS

Barcelona top the Primera Division after three wins from three. A new coach has seen a continuation of the same passing and attacking. Barcelona hammered Levante 7-0 but found things more difficult in 1-0 wins at Malaga and a 3-2 win at Valencia. Barcelona still do not convince in defensive positions but their attack is so irresistible that it doesn’t usually matter. No new injury worries for Barcelona.

Sevilla are still adjusting to their huge changes in personnel.  The side cannot hope to reach the hieghts of previous Sevilla sides but the promise is there.  Sevilla have played more than most teams so far as they have 4 Europa League matches under their belt. They have gone goal crazy in that competition too with 18 goals scored and just 2 conceded in 4 games! In the league its been a bit more sedate with a home 3-1 loss to Atletico Madrid, a game they were totally outlassed. They have followed up with a pair of draws; to Levante away and Malaga at home. Injuries still plague Sevilla with  Reyes out long term, Fazio still missing and Cicinho out too. All key players and tough to replace.  New signing Sebastian Cristoforo is available after his move from Penarol. Strikers Carlos Bacca and Kevin Gamiero have both had decent starts to the campaign but only 1 will likely start against Barcelona.

BARCELONA V SEVILLA: BETTING TIPS

Should be an easy win for Barcelona here, a phrase I will be writing a lot this season. At home at Camp Nou Barce are going to steamroller allcomers. Sevilla will try and close the space and contain but they have no chance. I expect a few goals for the home side, Sevilla will get chances as Barcelona are susceptible to counters but even so a big margin win for me. I take Barcelona -2 at Ladbrokes which is nicely priced at 1.72.
