CELTA VIGO – VILLARREAL: PREDICTIONS

Celta Vigo have had a mixed bag of results and performances so far this season.  The highlight was the dominant win away at Betis but they have struggled badly defensively and are far too open. Conceding 7 goals already in just 4 games shows how open they are. They haven’t had a difficult opening period either so need to shore up the back line. Two starters out for Celta in Mario Castenedo (attack) and Sam Ripoli (defence) Key midfield man Krohn-Dehli is a major doubt.

Villarreal have had a class start to the season with 3 wins and 1 draw.  Almeria, Osasuna and Valladolid were all dispatched but the real seal of approval came in the 2-2 draw with Real Madrid. Villarreal played some wonderful football and really tested Madrid. Only some  fine saves form keeper Diego Lopez prevented a win for Yellow Submarine. Defender Bojan Djokic sits out once more, he is yet to feature though.
