GRANADA – ATHLETIC CLUB: PREDICTIONS

Granada have not managed a win since opening day, the lone win away to Osasuna has been the only real performance from them.  Draws at Celta and Betis were hard, battling efforts but they never offered much going forward in either game. Defeats at home to Espanyol, Valenica and Real Madrid made it 4 games from 6 without scoring. Key players Mainz & Piti are out and will be missed.

Athletic Bilbao take their place in the group of teams outside Barce and the two Madrid teams. This second level are all capable of getting results against the rest of La Liga. Bilbao will be a real force at their rebuilt San Memes stadium and I will be looking to get with them at home at every opportunity. So far this season they won both their home games (Osasuna, Betis and Celta) and won 1 away (Valladolid) but lost to both Real Madrid and Espanyol. Still a hefty injury list for Bilbao who have four players missing, Saborit, Kike Sola and Balenziaga.
