Good game in Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes as Granada host Villarreal. Last season the hosts finished 16^th with just 1 point keeping them safe from relegation. At home last year they won 6 from 19 games. For this one they have a full squad to choose from.  Villarreal finished as the “best of the rest” in the race to finish 4^th. Although they were 24 points behind 3^rd place they played well for the majority of the season. Most of their points were won at home though with just 6 wins on the road. The two games between these sides last year ended with 2 wins for Villarreal, with them winning 3-1 here last September. Villarreal are missing a host of players for this one though with Bonera, Juame Costa, Chersyev, dos Santos, Bakambu and Soldado all missing.

Apart from the massive list of players missing for Villarreal is the fact they are in the middle of a UCL playoff with Monaco. The Yellow Submarine actually lost the 1^st leg at home 2-1 so they are in major trouble.
