ATHLETIC BILBAO – MALAGA STATS

Bilbao had a very poor start to the la liga season losing their first 2 matches.  They have since managed a win and away draw and will be hoping to continue their climb up the table.  They have scored 8 goals in their 4 league games and conceded a huge 12.

Malaga has made an excellent start to the season and remains undefeated.  They have won 3 of 4 and drawn the other.  Their defensive record is excellent, conceding just 2 goals in their 7 matches in all competitions.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Athletic Club are without excellent young midfielder Ander Herrera who has been out for a few weeks.  They will have Fernando Llorente available for his first start after he came off the bench last week and scored against Espanyol.

Malaga will be looking to veteran forward Javier Saviola to continue their excellent run.  Still only 30, he seems to have been around forever but has shown with 2 goals in 2 starts that he still has what it takes to play at the top level.
