VALENCIA – ZARAGOZA STATS

Valencia has won just one of their five fixtures this season.   After two draws to start the year they have lost 2 of their last 3 and sit 15^th in the table.  Only 2 of their 5 games have gone above 2.5 goals.

Zaragoza has won 2 and lost 3 of their matches this year and they sit above Valencia in 12^th place in la liga.  Only 2 of their 5 games have gone above 2.5 goals also.  

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Valencia will be disappointed by last week’s 2-0 defeat away at Mallorca.  They dominated the game with nearly 70% possession and created 4 times as many chances as their opponents but were unable to find the goals they needed.  Valencia expects both Gago and Banega to regain fitness for this match although they may not start.  Albelda, Canales and Piatti will all miss out again.

Zaragoza had an excellent win at home last week 3-1 against Osasuna.  The win will give them confidence although Osasuna are not the strongest of opposition, sitting bottom of the league.  They expect Glenn Loovens back from injury but it is unlikely he will force his way into central defence.  Pinter and Obradovic will not be fit for this game again.
