MALAGA V ALMERIA:BETTING PREDICTIONS

Malaga have found life tough after such huge changes at the end of last season. The side is of a much lower quality than last year but there are a few encouraging signs.  Two 1-0 goal defeats to Barcelona were not the best performances but the side did battle well in both games and losing by 1 to Barcelona is a moral victory. Since then though they have had two draws (Sevilla and Sociedad) and the game of their season so far, a 5-0 hammering of Vallecano. New signing Mounir El Hamdaoui bagged a hattrick on his debut and looked lively in the 0-0 at Sociedad. Malaga have had a very tough opening period with fixtures against all the better teams. Long term injured Weligton is the only missing man.

Almeria have still to win a match but have been involved in some crackers so far. Attacking in pretty much every game they have been let down though by a lightweight defence. So far in 5 games they have scored 10 but conceded 13 for a game average of 4.6 per game. Almeria have drew 2-2 in three matches and lost 3-2 and 4-2 so its safe to say you can guarantee goals whenever the new boys are in action. Clean bill of health to so a chance to make some changes.

Prices are quite short here for Malaga with odds as low as 1.57 on the home side. I couldn’t really take them at that price because Almeria are quite a dangerous team who are not afraid to attack. Goals are on the cards here for sure as Almeria are want to attack and leave gaps and Malaga should be able to exploit that. I can see Almeria scoring too no problem (they have scored 2 in every game so far!) I take Both Teams To Score at 1.70 which to me offers a little more value than the Over 2.5 goals at 1.75 (both Ladbrokes) – Odds for both are as short as 1.55 elsewhere!
