REAL BETIS V ATLETICO MADRID PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

This is the second leg of the Copa del Ray quarter final between Betis and Atletico.  The first leg saw Atletico win 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Falcao and Filipe Luis.  They now take the trip to Estadio Benito Villamarin where Betis hope they can pull the lead back.

Both teams are having an amazing season compared to their initial goals.  Real Betis are a lofty 4^th in la liga, 2 points clear of 5^th place Malaga and with a game in hand.  They must be confident they can finish 4^th and get a chance at the lucrative Champions League.

Atletico meanwhile are Barcelona’s nearest challengers for the title just 8 points behind the leaders.  They have a 7 point cushion over 3^rd place Real Madrid and will be confident they can stay ahead of their Madrid rivals until the end of the season.

Betis have a real struggle to pull back the 2 goal lead Atletico enjoy.  Their home form has been inconsistent recently with 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats in their last 5.  They will take confidence from Atletico’s very poor away record however as they have lost 3 and dawn 2 of their last 5 matches.

The books have Atletico as favourites here.  I would agree they are favourites to win the tie but think Betis have a very good chance of getting a win here as they know they will have to push for the full 90 minutes.

I think there is plenty of value available on a Betis win, which can be had at a top price of 3.30 with Coral.
