REAL MADRID – ATHLETIC BILBAO PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

Real Madrid have seen big changes at Santiago Bernabeu but so far they have not looked anything more than average. Two single goal victories over Real Betis (2-1 at home) and Granada (1-0 away) yielded 6 points for Madrid but neither performance has really impressed. Ronaldo has done little in the two games and has yet to net. Karim Benzema has looked good and has 2 so far but could be out the door if Gareth Bale signs for the 100 million € that has been mentioned. Maximum points without really performing is a good sign though as Madrid will step up. Xabi Alonso is out for a while and his loss is of great importance, hes the man who keeps them ticking over. Key CD Rapheal Varane sits out too, but he has yet to start this season.

Athletic Bilbao are one of the better teams outside the big two and Atletico Madrid. Bilbao sit with maximum points alongside Madrid with two wins from two. A 2-1 away win at Valladolid was followed up by a strong 2-0 home win in the 1^st Basque derby of the season with Osasuna. Defender Ezika misses out here but has been replaced by an equal player.
