Real Sociedad have come a long way over the past few years and now confirmed their quality with a place in Champions Leagues groups. This young, talented side destroyed Lyon in the playoffs. Beeating them at home and away. In the league so far they have one win and one draw. The recent 1-1 draw with Elche was played at a low tempo and with a few changes to the side as Sociedad were understandably concentrating on the Champions League. I expect a return to the full on football that earned them fourth last year. Still a few players out for Sociedad but none have started this season so far so a good sign of the depth of their squad. Out is Jose Angel, Ifran, Mikel Gonzalez and Agirretxe are all out.

Atletico Madrid have adjusted well to the loss of Falcao. A slight shift in play has left them understandably short up front but you would never know so far. Four games in they have 2 wins in the league and to show how solid they are two supercup draws with Barcelona. Only losing on away goals to the Catalan giants. A clean bill of health for Atletico Madrid.
