SEVILLA - MALAGA: PREDICTIONS

Sevilla are having to adapt after the sale of the star players that gave them such an edge over recent years. The incoming players are all well below the quality of those leaving that Sevilla are not expected to do much this year. They have had a slow start to Primera Division with a 1-0 home loss to Atletico Madrid, a game they were always going to struggle in. Last match though was a good indicator for me. They faced a Levante side who were struck for 7 by Barcelona and reeling. Yet they more than matched Sevilla and held on for a 0-0. Two huge wins in Europa League confirmed their place in the group stages as Slask Wroclaw were battered 9-1 on aggregate. A long missing list for Sevilla sees key men out. We have Federico Fazio missing from central defence. Reyes is out from the wing. Alex Dos Santos missing from the back too. A few squad men down too with defenders Daniel Carrico and Nicolas Pareja absent.

Malaga had one of the most difficult opening set of fixtures of any team. Valencia away and Barcelona at home. Malaga battled hard in both games and only lost 1-0 twice. They should take some pride from these games and go into the Sevilla came with a bit of confidence. They rarely looked in danger against Barcelona but it must be stressed that Messi was not playing.  Just the one injury for Malaga but it’s a big one. Key central defender Robson de Oliveria is out.

SEVILLA - MALAGA: BETTING TIPS       

I am not at all convinced by Sevilla and their raft of new signings. Not sure they should be as short as 1.55 to win this game. Malaga have had a tough start but a visit to Sevilla is not the tough ask it used to be. Im opposing Sevilla here for sure and like the look of the handicaps.
