SEVILLE V REAL BETIS PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Seville will still be without the same players who were missing last week with Botia, Perotti, Man and Trochowski all still nursing injuries.  Not what they need when they are suffering from a terrible run in form.  After an excellent start to the season where they were unbeaten over their first 5 games they have only won one of their next 6, losing 4. 

The main bright spot of Sevilla’s season has been the form of striker Alvaro Negredo who has been excellent, scoring 7 goals in 11 appearances.  Of Seville’s 4 recognised strikers he is the only one to have scored this year which shows their reliance on him.

Betis are flying high in the league and are full of confidence.  A shock defeat at home to Granada at the weekend they’ll hope was a one off and that they can get a result in this match.  They have no major injury worries and have been in fine attacking form this season so far, scoring the highest number of goals outside the ‘top 3’.

Seville are strong favourites at home for this one, they’ve won 3 of their last 5 home matches, losing only to Barcelona so their home form seems strong.  Betis however have won 3 of 5 away matches and know how to score goals.

I think the market may be overestimating Seville and think there is definite value in an away win which can be found at a huge 5.5 with bet365.

The Asian market has the handicap set at a relatively high Seville -1.  This means they need to win by 2 clear goals for the bet to win and any one goal victory will return the stake.

Again I am going to side with the away team here and feel that Betis +1 is a definite bet at Pinnacle who are offering 1.70.
