VALENCIA – BARCELONA PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

Valencia could be in a bit of trouble this season, as they are not looking up to the Mestalla sides of old. Two games in and two ordinary performances from Valencia. A win against Malaga at home (1-0) was followed up by an awful 3-1 away loss to Espanyol. The passing was intricate but they never went anywhere with it and defended awfully. Espanyol were very pysichal and direct and Valencia simply crumbled under pressure. A full squad to choose from for Valencia.

Barcelona have played twice in the league and twice in Supercup. The league was opened in fine style with a 7-0 whooping of a shell shocked Levante side. Lionel Messi was once again the maestro as Barce simply destroyed their opponents. At half time it was 6-0 and looking to be double figures before a second period when they seemed to ease up. In the next game they faced Malaga without Messi. As happens Barcelona lost a lot of their final third incision and looked below par indeed. They had to rely on a Adriano wondergoal to see off Malaga and 1-0 was the result. Two supercup ties with Atletico Madrid were played to a draw and Barce won on away goals. Not the usual destruction of Barcelona then apart from game 1. Injuries for Barce include Puyol, Afellay and Ceunca but all three are long term anyway.

VALENCIA - BARCELONA: RUN OF PLAY

Three wins for Barcelona and three draws are the results of the last six fixtures. 17 goals in 6 games for an average of 2.83 goals per game. The interesting thing is all three wins were at Barcelona and all three draws were at Valencia. The quality of this Valencia squad has dropped immensely this season though.

VALENCIA - BARCELONA PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS: 1X2

It’s an almost certain away win for Barcelona and the odds are good. 1.53 on an away side might not seem good value but both Madrid and Barcelona are going to dominate the entire Primera Division home and away with the exception of Atletico. The league will suffer for it but we benefit from good odds on the big two. This Valencia is a pale shadow of previous squads and has little chance of holding Barcelona. Lionel Messi is a doubt its true but I fell without him they should prevail. If he makes the game we only enhance our chances. Bet365 offer Barcelona at 1.53 and thats a price that is good for me.

Barcelona should win well here, Valencia seems to me are priced up on name value rather than their true weakened self.. The line of Barcelona -1 (1.95 bet365) is my preferred option. A 1 goal Barcelona win gets our stake refunded, any bigger margin win gets us paid out. Barcelona are too big in my eyes and should win here, they will start improving over the coming weeks and the margin of victories will start increasing for sure.
