VALENCIA V REAL MADRID PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Valencia are 7^th in la liga with 30 points from 19 matches.  They are currently 4 points behind Real Betis in 4^th place which is their major goal for the season to ensure Champions League participation next year.  Recently they have been in strong form with 4 wins and 1 defeat in their last 5 matches with an aggregate score of 9-4.

Real Madrid are 3^rd in la liga with 37 points from 19 matches.  They are 18 points off top spot and have all but given up on the league title this year, instead concentrating their major efforts on the Champions League.  Their recent la liga form has seen 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat in their last 5 matches with an aggregate score of 11-10.

Valencia are in a tough fight to continue their Champions League participation next year, they have a few seasons finishing as easily 3^rd in the league behind Barcelona and Real Madrid but this year they have lost that mantle to Atletico Madrid.  With just 5 points between the teams in 4^th-9^th position it will be a tough fight that will go right to the wire.

Real Madrid finally seen Barcelona lose their first match this weekend but it will still be too late to breathe life into the title fight.  If Madrid win this game they’ll still be 15 points off the lead and they’ll have to settle for a simple Champions League spot and put all their focus on winning that competition this season.

Real Madrid are favourites here but you can still find above evens at a number of books which isn’t usual for this side.  It shows the market has lost some faith in Jose Mourinho’s side which I have also.  I feel Valencia have more to fight for in this match and they know if they are ever going to beat Madrid it should be now.
