Fantastic game in La Liga as Villarreal host Barcelona. The Yellow Submarine are in 4th with 53 points from 29 games and are currently the “best of the rest” of La Liga. They lead the table of have nots behind the two Madrid sides and Barcelona. Home form for them reads 11 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats. Recent league form shows 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats which isn’t good. They are without Samual and Dos Santos here but Soldado is available. Barcelona are looking for a 13h consecutive La Liga win. Now that Europe is cast aside for a few weeks they can get down to sealing another title. They are currently top with an 8 point gap over 2nd with 1 game in hand. Away form for them reads 10 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats. Barce are without Sandro but Pique comes back into the side after a suspension ruled him out of UCL win over Arsenal.
How to stop Messi, Suarez and Neymar is a question no one can answer at the moment. I don’t see Villarreal doing it even though they have had an excellent season. I take the early lead and a Barcelona victory at a massive 11-10 with Ladbrokes.
