VILLARREAL V REAL MADRID: PREDICTIONS

Villarreal have had a dream start to their return to La Liga. Three matches and three wins sees the Yellow Submarine amongst the top 4, a position they regularly held over the years. Away wins over Osasuna (3-0) and Almeria (3-2) and a home win over Valladolid (2-1) is a fantastic start. The level of teams however is mid to lower table at best but nevertheless Villarreal have done their job. Goals have been spread around the team too which is encouraging. One negative has been their defensive play, they are quite open and the bigger teams will exploit for sure. Bojan Djokic still awaits his debut and will likely miss out again.

Real Madrid welcome their latest Galatico to the Spanish capital. Welsh wizard Gareth Bale is in line for his debut and will add another dimension to an already strong Madrid attack. Quite how he fits in is the conundrum faced by Ancelotti. Bale is pretty much a replica of Ronaldo, it will be interesting to watch for sure. Madrid are another side with three wins from three but they have not really been at their best as yet. They lost Ozil in the transfer window, he will be missed as he was top quality but Bale is ready to go. Alonso and Varane are out long term while Isco was withdrawn from the midweek friendly with Chile as a precaution, he should be available.

As stated in previous weeks the prices on both Madrid and Barcelona are too big in away matches. These two sides are simply light years above the majority of La Liga sides.
