The rivalry of the two best teams in the world takes centre stage again tonight in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup. We will preview all the action between Real Madrid and Barcelona and give betting predictions.
The first leg a week ago started off surprisingly quiet with both teams seeming some way off their best. A goal from Cristiano Ronaldo brought the game into life and it was a fantastic spectacle from then on. Immediately from kick off after Ronaldo’s goal Barcelona got the equaliser from Pedro and they continued to attack Madrid, enjoying their best spell of the match. A penalty from Messi followed by an excellent attacking move finished by Xavi gave Barcelona a 3-1 lead and it looked like they would push on for more. They nearly made it 4-1 via Iniesta in a one on one with Casillas but the Spanish keeper showed his quality and made a smart save. In an instant the ball was hurtling to the Barcelona penalty area and was passed back to Victor Valdes who looked to be in control, a slip from the keeper allowed Angel Di Maria to steal the ball and score a simple goal.
The score-line flattered Madrid who has had a terrible start to their season. They are yet to win a game in the league, having drawn at home to Valencia and lost away to Getafe. For a team who only dropped points 6 times out of 38 games, this is not good enough.
Total Goals
As usual between these teams a high scoring game is anticipated. Over 2.5 goals is best priced at 1.5 at Stan James and Under 2.5 is 2.62 at Ladbrokes. With the attacking talent on show tonight I would expect another attacking game with plenty of goals.
Asian Handicap
The market doesn’t see much difference between the teams tonight with the handicap set at 0. Best price for Madrid is 2.04 at Ladbrokes with Barcelona 1.92 at Pinnacle.
