Trabzonspor opened with a 2-0 away loss to a Besiktas side they have been playing pretty good against in the past. They did play a good game in midweek in the Europa League away to Kukesi as they returned to Trabzon with two away goals to nil.

They’ve brought in some familiar names in Jose Boswinga and Florent Malouda. Aykut Demir (Defender) is a defender they brought in that has a lot to offer this Trabzonspor side too. Jose Boswinga will sit out though due to injury.

Trabzonspor has been a very good home team the last few years, but the trend the last three years have been negative. In 2010/2011 Trabzonspor won 12 home games. In 2011/2012 Trabzonspor won 10 home games. In 2012/2013 they won 9. Last season Trabzonspor scored 8 goals less than their three year average. I am unsure if they have enough offensive firepower to do much better than last season in relation to number of home wins. Against a random opponent Trabzonspor would then have a 54.92% chance of winning (1.89 calculated into odds).

Rizespor is newly promoted to the Super Lig. They won their season opener at home against Genclerbirligi 1-0. Rizespor has been shopping a bit this window and more than half the side winning the season opener consisted of new recruits.  Rizespor has been one of the top teams in the 1. Lig for some time, and their promotion was due. The last three seasons they’ve won 7 away games out of a total of 17. Maintaining that record against Super Lig opposition will be a challenge.

Trabzonspor – Rizespor betting tips

Trabzonspor is definitely the favorite. They’ve been a decent side in the Super Lig for some time and they have a good squad still. They will be taking the game to the newly promoted outfit for sure.
